Teen Boy Drowns at East Texas Lake
Officials at Holly Lake Ranch near Hawkins and Big Sandy recovered the body of a teenaged boy who drowned Sunday after he attempted to swim across the lake.
According to KLTV, officials said the boy and a friend attempted to swim from the north shore of the lake to the south, about 200 yards. When his friend finished the swim and looked for the boy, she could not find him.
His body was found about three hours later. His name has not yet been released.
