Having manned the kit for Crue since 1981, Tommy Lee has been a crucial part of rock and metal's musical fabric for over three decades. Known for his infamous exploits both on and offstage, we celebrate the unique life of Tommy Lee.
Motley Crue shows are made even more entertaining by the antics of drummer Tommy Lee. For many male fans, tops on the list is the portion of the show where Lee encourages ladies to show a certain part of their anatomy on camera. Right behind that is Lee's roller coaster drum solo. However, that drum design is now part of a lawsuit.
Tommy Lee is no stranger to the legal system, having several run-ins with the law over the years. Now, according to TMZ, an engineer claims he had the idea for the Motley Crue drummer’s circle-shaped roller-coaster drum solo back in 1991.
Recently Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee headed online to his Facebook page asking people to stop requesting photos of him. The rocker then took things a step further with Fuse TV last week revealing a story in which a mortuary worker asked him to take a photo when he arrived to pick up his late mother‘s ashes.

Tommy Lee is working on a new TV show. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Motley Crue bassist is developing an investigative travel show for the SyFy network. It’s called Culture Shock with Tommy Lee and in the unscripted series, the rocker will attempt to uncover rituals, symbols and other mysteries of secret societies. Tommy will immerse himself in those societies and promises the series will “blow our minds.” No word yet on when it will premiere but you can read more at EW.com.
