It isn't very often that you see MLB players play a position other than what they're known for. Whether it's a reliever in a catchers uniform, or seeing a first baseman at shortstop, it's always out of the ordinary. Not to mention it makes for an entertaining game. Last night the Texas Rangers put one of their most popular players in a position that even made him chuckle.

Fox 4 in Dallas is reporting that Josh Hamilton's wife had to call security before Friday's game at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. This was Hamilton's first appearance at the stadium wearing an Angels uniform and the first since he made comments toward Rangers fans claiming that Dallas is "not a baseball city."

It was the top of the fourth inning last night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington as the Texas Rangers were taking on the Minnesota Twins when a loud clap of thunder and bolt of lightning sent players scrambling to the dugout. A new 'Texas Legend' has been added to the line-up at the Texas Rangers games in Arlington! Each home game in the middle of the sixth inning you can see either the traditional dot race or the 'Texas Legends' race. The Texas Legends began alternating games with the dots last season. Up until last weekend, the Texas Legends included the huge-headed Sam Houston, Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and Nolan Ryan. This past weekend a new Legend was added and it's none other than Tyler's own Earl Campbell!
