We reported earlier that Courtney Love really went off the deep end during a Hole concert at the SWU festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, over the weekend, stripping off her clothes and using the stage as a bully pulpit to rail against Foo Fighters frontman / former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl.
This week I have done several posts that celebrate the anniversary of some of the biggest albums of all time. Yesterday it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" that I posted about. Tomorrow (September 24) is the 20 year anniversary of the release date for this classic album. Tomorrow is also the anniversary for the release of what is maybe one of the greatest albums of all time. More after the jump.
Three unreleased Nirvana tracks that are part of the upcoming deluxe 20th anniversary reissues of ‘Nevermind’ are now streaming free on the web.
One’s a scorching demo, another is a rather good quality “boombox” recording and a third is a concert version of the band’s most famous song.

But Novoselic has picked a good time to strap on his bass again for the public: a Sept. 20 celebration and fundraiser in Seattle to mark the upcoming 2oth anniversary of Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album.
Demos, B-sides and concert recordings are among the rarities that will be included on not one, but two deluxe 20th anniversary editions of Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ from Universal Music Enterprises.
Originally scheduled for a Sept. 19 release, the digitally remastered and beefed-up ‘Nevermind’ packages will now drop on Sept. 27 — 20 years and three days after the original album arrived.
It was one of the biggest albums of the ’90s, helping to usher in the rise of grunge and the birth of the alternative nation, so it’s only fitting that Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ will celebrate its 20th birthday in style.
In fact, it looks like the upcoming deluxe reissue — consisting of four CDs and a DVD — will include everything but a scrap of flannel from Kurt Cobain’s wardrobe. Though the set’s final track listing is as yet unknown — and, given the fact that there’s already an entire box of Nirvana rarities on the market, it seems likely that those extra discs will include some previously released material — at least one report indicates that the DVD will boast a concert making its first appearance from the vaults.
Gibson.com has just compiled a list of the best albums of the ‘90s and topping it is none other than Nirvana’s Nevermind. The site’s editors, writers and readers all voted and the 1991 record topped the list, followed by Radiohead’s OK Computer, U2’s Achtung Baby, Definitely Maybe by Oasis and R.E.M.’s Automatic for the People. Rounding out the top ten are Pearl Jam’s Ten, Metallica’s Metallica, Time out of Mind by Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley’s Grace and Radiohead’s The Bends. More after the jump.

Kurt Cobain’s was found dead 17 years ago tomorrow, so his hometown is taking the chance to honor his memory. A statue of the Nirvana singer was erected in Aberdeen, Washington, where he grew up
