Last month, Mötley Crüe announced that they will take up residency in Las Vegas for two weeks for a series of marathon shows that will run from Feb. 3-19. Nikki Sixx has gone on record to say that Motley Crue‘s residency in Las Vegas, which will launch in February and run for three weeks, is only scratching the surface of what he believes “will be the biggest probably four to five years of the band’s career.”
We all know Nikki Sixx is a killer bass player with creativity and crazy-good vision. After all, this is the guy who went from playing bass in Motley Crue to forming his own band, Sixx: A.M., and once again topping the rock charts. But, it might surprise fans that Sixx is dead-serious about his spirituality and family life.

Cee Lo got on stage with Crue and they performed a mash-up of "Don't Go Away Mad" and Cee Lo's hit "F*** You."

Motley Crue will tour this summer with Poison and New York Dolls and drummer Tommy Lee hopes the time on the road will inspire the group to write new music. If they do, he told Billboard that one place he’d like the songs to end up is in the long-awaited film version of the group’s autobiography, The Dirt. According to the rocker, Rob Zombie is now attached to direct the movie, which may finally go into production soon. No word on when it would be due out though. Read more at Billboard.com.
In April, Nikki Sixx will release This is Gonna Hurt, his book that includes photography and journal entries, and along with it, on May 3rd, the Motley Crue bassist will put out a companion album called This is Gonna Hurt with his side project, Sixx: A.M. Now, fans can see the video for “Lies of the Beautiful People,” the first single off the record. The clip includes photographs from Nikki’s book as well as footage of Sixx: A.M. at a photo shoot.
