Anderson County Temporarily Drops Burn Ban

Anderson County Judge Robert Johnston has announced that the county has temporarily lifted the burn ban.  The judge's office says he feels like the county has received enough moisture lately to let people burn trash that has been stockpiling during the drought.  Parts of Anderson County received just under an inch of rain with this weekend's storms. Smith County Issues Burn Ban

Smith County Judge Joel Baker has issued a burn ban for Smith County, effective immediately, due to extremely dry conditions. The burn ban is effective for seven days, and may be renewed upon review of conditions next Tuesday. More after the jump.
