Alice in Chains Perform Acoustic Set at MusicCares Event Honoring Jerry Cantrell
Last night (May 31), Alice in Chains co-founder Jerry Cantrell was honored with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award at the 8th Annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Cantrell, sporting shorter hair and a moustache (as seen in the photo above), was given the award for “his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction and recovery process.”

Van Halen Postpone Summer 2012 Tour Dates
Following the news last week of several new shows added, things seem to have gone south for Van Halen since then. Without much explanation, the legendary rock band just announced that they’ll be postponing all remaining tour dates after their June 26 show in New Orleans, La. With over 30 dates being postponed, the dates impacted start on July 7 in Uncasville, Conn. and span through a Sept. 25 gig in Milwaukee.
